Day 4: The Olive Oil Demonstration

The Activeion Ionator HOM was first demonstrated to me using the very test I hope my photos show below. On one side for comparison, i've poured some water onto my olive oil. On the other side we have the Iontator HOM doing it's nifty little degreaser like job.

Here we see my drop of water landed smack dab in the middle.

And here's the Activeion activated water in comparison on the left. Our regular water on right side finally gave way as the water pushed itself out of its bubble.

Day 3: A Shift In Concept

It's Easter! Our family made unforgettable memories this morning just sitting at the table having breakfast. Life is certainly as good as you make it. We'll be on our way to my parents shortly where we'll having a late lunch. We're bringing the BBQ Rib Tips! AND the Ionator HOM of course! Muuu Haaa Haaa Haaa! Can't wait to see what the family thinks.

Over the past few days we've begun to see that the benefits of super green cleaner have become infinite. No more buying Windex, Pledge, Lysol Kitchen spray, Lysol Bath spray, Toilet Bowl cleaner, Stainless Steel Cleaner, Multi-Surface sprays...not only are they expensive and a hassle, but they're hazardous to your health!

Over the course of our story, we'll let you know the chemicals we'll be doing away with. Now, since this is only day 3 we won't be making any rash decisions... but the odds aren't looking good for the home team.

Now excuse me while I hunt for the Peeps!

Day 2: Ruby Gets A Sterile Toy

Our dog Ruby, one of four pets, loves this rubber octopus and drags this thing all over the house. Plus my daughter loves picking it up and tossing it because Ruby's favorite game is fetch.

As she tossed it in front of my feet this morning while I was having breakfast, I thought I'd give it a quick squirt from the Ionator HOM. Pure activated water kills 99.9% of bacteria killed in 6 seconds! ZAP!

Day 1 : My New Activeion Ionator HOM

I'm more than ready by now to let the green cleaning begin! I plugged it in last night. It only took a couple hours to fully charge.

So this morning we have a neighbor coming over to babysit for us in our home and my wife and I scrambled to tidy up around the house. Eager to use the Ionator HOM I offered to clean our restroom. I sprayed our tile sink and counter-tops all at once which came out streak and smudge free. On to the toilet where I sprayed everywhere and waited my 6 seconds to fully disinfect...wipe...wipe and voila! Clean and smudge free!

THE SMELL! Yes! It has a smell! I equate it to the wet air of monsoon season in Arizona. Now I know that the wet smell in the air was actually the smell of ionized or electrified water! (maybe) It has a rain like smell that's clean and fresh. It's a little hard to explain.

Would you let your kid do this with any cleaner?

Not even the most natural, organic, plant based detergents, cleansers, or soaps I can think of!

Unboxing my ActiveIon Ionator HOM

So the day has finally come... my brand new Ionator HOM has arrived! I figured I would put together a very quick unboxing video to give you all a peek at what to expect when one shows up at your doorstep. Here's how she comes right out of the box....

Unboxing The Activeion Ionator HOM on Vimeo.
I recently purchased an Activeion Ionator HOM, the eco friendly cleaner that ionizes pure tap water which makes it act as a cleaning agent and kills 99.9% of bacteria. This is a short video of how the Ionator HOM arrives in it's original packaging.

So now it's time to plug it and charge it up! Let the eco friendly cleaning begin!

Here's some photos:

Discovering ActiveIon And An Intro To The Ionator HOM

A few months ago my wife and I took our first steps into making more eco friendly buying decisions when it comes to some of our household cleaners. We've been using Clorox Green Works Natural All-Purpose cleaner for a few months now and it does a fabulous job on most surfaces. We've even used it on our floors a few times since we bought the economy sized value pack from Sam's Club. But how green is it? I recently stumbled across the GoodGuide.com that sizes up companies and products based on three factors of Health, Environment, and Society with their own rating system in order to help folks find safer, healthier, green products. So I headed over to the GoodGuide to find out what they thought of the Green Works cleaner.

5.6 out of 10 from the GoodGuide! OUCH! And their worst rating was on the environmental impact of the product! Contributing to global warming, toxic waste, and poor energy management (according to the GoodGuide) How is that very green? Sorry Green Works, that's an easy flunk in my book for being eco friendly.

Flash forward a few weeks later a friend of mine shares a great video called A Wake-Up Story by a non-profit Healthy Child Healthy World that really resonated with a lot of people I know who have children.

After seeing the video I visited their website to learn more information about them when I discovered an advertisement that led me to the ActiveIon website.

Once there I clicked on the box with the photo of Bill Nye the Science Guy and watched the 9 minute video. I wasn't really ready to believe this the 'wonders' of this technology until I could see it in action. How do I get my hands on one? Where can I see a demonstration?

Well, lucky me! It just so happened that because of my job, I'd be going to the Natural Products Expo in Anaheim, California. One of the biggest shows of the year for this industry and lo and behold, who do I see as an exhibitor? Ding! Ding! (sung in my best opera lady voice) AaaaaactiveIoooooooon!

The day of the expo I was on high alert for their booth. When I finally arrived I wasn't greeted by anyone from the company at first. They all seemed to be giving demonstrations. A very nice lady who owned her own green cleaning business in Oregon was asked by ActiveIon to come down to the show and talk to people about the product. This was my first contact with ActiveIon. Perfect! I'd love to talk to someone who could answer some real cleaning questions! After a quick demonstration with a drizzle of olive oil on a sheet of stainless steal (which I must show later) was a very powerful visual that showed how the water really acts as a cleaning agent. "What about the really tough jobs," I asked. "Well, it's not a miracle worker. There are just those occasions when your best spray solution you have just wont do the job. That's when we incorporate some baking soda into the mix to act as a soft abrasive for sinks or tile." That seemed logical enough. Plus if all I needed was baking soda, that would be an overall much healthier way to clean.

So at the end of our conversation I managed to find myself pulling my credit card out of my wallet to purchase an Activeion AI1004 Ironator HOM. OOHH AHHH! It's still painful just thinking about it! $160 bucks! But by some mystical force....I just couldn't say no to this.  I was still skeptical, but there was so much to gain if it worked.
